Steve “Jobs” Wants You!

by Glenn Lovell

Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle — known for “Trainspotting” and “Slumdog Millionaire” — will be in the Bay Area soon. Boyle’s new biopic “Jobs,” scripted by Aaron Sorkin from the Walter Isaacson bestseller “Steve Jobs,” will shoot at, among other area locations, De Anza College’s Flint Center on Stevens Creek in Cupertino.

MichJobs3ael Fassbender will star as the Apple guru, a role originally linked to Leonardo DiCaprio and (a dead ringer for Jobs) Christian Bale. Seth Rogen has been signed to play Steve Wozniak, a sort of Sancho Panza to Jobs’ Don Quixote.

The production, set to begin shooting in late January, is looking for enthusiastic local extras, 18-40 years old, who will cheer on cue as Fassbender’s Jobs addresses an Apple convention. Must have ’80s hairstyles and clothing. Production is also looking for vintage cars, 1983 or older.

Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels are tentative for costarring roles.
